Kansas City Win

Kansas City Win

The GKCPC show was a fantastic event this year. The location was wonderful, the rooms at the Argosy are some of the nicest I've stayed in. The people there and the laid back vibe of the show were two fantastic reasons to return next year.

The show was large enough to draw quite a crowd but small enough to really get a chance to talk to people. I enjoyed finally getting to know several people I've ran into at other shows, but never had a chance to sit down and chat with. Chat I did, staying out in the smoking tent until 4 and 5 am, but well worth the bleary eyes and sacrifice of sleep. Perhaps a bit worse for the wear when the show kicked off, I wouldn't trade good times with good friends for anything.

And, bleary eyes be damned, I managed to sell all of my pipes.

I was also quite honored that my Billiard was picked for The American Carvers Pipe Making Contest. From 57 entries, my pipe was picked along with Premal Chheda, Tyler Beard, Rad Davis, Jesse Jones, Nate King and Colin Rigsby to go into the 2014 7 Day Pipe Set.

All told, it was a wonderful show, and I look forward to 2015.
